Kate Butler has a long standing love affair with the local music scene. At the ripe age of 7 she decided she wanted to be a journalist. Her love affair with writing continued and grew when she became immersed in the local Saint John music scene at age 15 through writing, photography and volunteering, often a means to see her favourite bands.
She moved to Fredericton to complete her undergrad studying media and communications where she began to realize the journalism role was not for her. She immersed herself in the Fredericton music community working at local live music venues and completed her Masters in Communications in 2014.
Over the past several years her work has steered her towards various projects and contracts with The Capital Complex, Shivering Songs Festival, Tide and Boar Gastro Pub, Forward Music Group and New Brunswick musicians including The Hypochondriacs and Penny Blacks.
She Said Feck Records represents pop/punk 4 piece CHIPS and blues/rock trio The Tortoise the Hare & the Millionaire. CHIPS are currently working on a single called Modern Days with an accompanying video release for March 2018 with a full length to follow in late Spring/Summer 2018. The Tortoise the Hare and the Millionaire are currently working on their first EP to be released Summer 2018.
